When I first dove in to this book I was not expecting the writing to be as descriptive and beautiful as it was. I enjoyed the author's description of your average family vacation. And then the plot twist, whew. I must finish this novel to find out the truth of what happened leading up to Alison's disappearance and what happens in the family's lives after their return to New York.
