Saint X... You have not let me down. I went into this expecting a thriller of sorts, and while the story revolves around a tragic death that is suspended in a state of mystery, itβs more than that. This is a story about privilege, about loss, about how we each experience the same event in vastly different ways. This is a story of choice, of moving on, and the dangers of letting things consume you wholly. I was hooked from the beginning and remained that way as Schaitkiβs writing washed over me page after page. This book is told from multiple viewpoints and varying timelines; the result is a seamless novel and story so well told. β£

While I wouldnβt change anything about this book, I was missing the strong connection to characters or the evocation of strong emotion that I reserve for my 5 star ratings. β£
