I don't know where to start with this. Rules for Vanishing is pretty good. This book is a 3.75 for me. I usually don't like YA horror, I would rather have the gory/scary stuff and I only decided to give it a chance because of the great reviews it got and the amazing cover. I really like how this book uses text messages, emails, transcripts, interview recordings to add to the immersive storytelling but otherwise, the story so far isn't that great. I don't like the main character and how she acts. I mean, she has a right to be sad and mad and curious but for me, it was kind of annoying. The only reason I wasn't giving this excerpt an actual 4 star is because of the formating. I might go and try reading more of it.
