Rules for Vanishing Review/DNF:
I went into this novel extremely excited because I loved her first novel. Sadly, this book was just for me. I ended up dnfing it after 200 pages. It was heartbreaking for me as a reader. I think my expectations were just too high because I enjoyed her first book so much. I was expecting intensity based on this author's previous book but the pacing was not great for me. The plot going in is very intriguing but I felt like not a lot was taking place for it being 200 pages in. I believe the main reason I decided to put this down was the writing style, I just could not connect with it.
However, I still suggest picking up the authors first novel or even this one to see if you like her work.
