It’s spoopy reading time! So this was a bit of a strange read for me, NOT the fact it’s a spooky read but more for it being a bounce between investigation recorded video scenes, present time interrogation room chapters, and POV switches throughout out. All the switches worked very well for creating the balance of the story and helping it unravel the mystery that lies beneath the layers.
I would a hundred percent recommend this to any and everyone age wise from teens to an adult (looking for a light YA mystery/horror genre) to give this one a read this fall. It’s an all age appropriate, a bit of language and mild drinking in it but not super graphic on the spooky scenes of the ghost, just enough to get the reader hanging out in the edge of their seat fretting what’s to come.
