I've really been getting into YA books recently and this book has made me glad I've become so obsessed with them! I received this book as an ARC from Bookish (kudos, shout-out, huge thanks!). I actually loved the excerpt so much, I used my points to ENSURE I got this book. Man it did NOT disappoint. I was thrilled to be able to read this for my 2019 Popsugar "ghost story" prompt... and reading it before Halloween -- double score!

I absolutely loved almost every aspect of this book. It was creepy, spooky, haunting, sometimes gory in all the right places... and I absolutely hands-down LOVED the faux-documentary style of writing! Presenting the story in this way was just incredible! From first person, to interview dialogue, to video transcripts- it made the story flow and fly by and it added a level of detail in a way I've never experienced before.

My only real criticize of the book is that I really, truly have NO IDEA what happened in the end!

... but maybe that's how every good ghost story is supposed to end?
