First off I've seen the Blair Witch Project and the only similarities are kids in the woods with a camera looking for something. This book goes way beyond a ghost story. It's a paranormal horror story about Sara who is on a quest with her friends to find her sister Becca in a parallel ghost realm. The character development is fantastic as is the description of the world around them. I read through this book so fast. The setup is amazing, bouncing between what Becca wrote and the investigation of what happened on the road. The book is creepy but beautiful at the same time. It reminded me of a mix between a dark Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass meets The Wizard of Oz books. It's a wonderful read but be cautioned it is very scary. Oh, and if you have trouble figuring out the ending. Read the last few pages again slowly. Especially Becca's part.
