Once I finished this book, I didn’t love it. I gave it a 3 out of 5 and decided “meh, what a weak story”. However, as time goes by I find my mind drifting towards this tale. I find myself wanting to reread it, wanting to experience it again while knowing the storyline. This is a rare experience for me, and that’s what makes this book so special.
This book is narrated by several characters. That helps develop a well rounded, multifaceted tale. The characters are teenagers, all with their own weaknesses, strengths, faults, motives, and personality. The mystery feels rushed at times, and the story is less than organically developing, but the layers and themes are deeper and darker than I realized at first read!
