I really enjoyed this excerpt. I love tales about folklore and how people react to them. This tells an idea we've all been through (the local ghost story) and makes you say what f. What if they had been real? What might have happened to you?
The author building tension but it's not full faux documentary style; there are excerpts of transcripts, etc while the main character tales her story first person. This is not The Themis Files, but I believe it will serve its story.
