This modern romance novel set in New York tells the story of this young woman Holland who never had the courage to talk to her street musician crush. Everything changes when this handsome Irish musician, Calvin, rescues her from a drunken attacker and Holland tries to repay him by getting him an audition with her uncle, Broadway’s musical director.
But when she learns that Calvin is in the country illegally after his student visa expired years ago, she immediatly have this brilliant idea of marrying him..

This book was fast-paced and easy to read so that might be something you’re looking for. However, the plot was really easy and full of contradictions with a main character who was too naive and a bit stupid. Besides, if roles were reversed in this book, the guy would be considered as a creep stalker.
I didn’t DNF this book because the romance was actually cute during the middle of the book, but unfortunately for me, the beginning and ending of this book were ridiculous.

That’s actually a shame because I loved so many other romance novels written by Christina Lauren such as The Unhoneymooners or Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating.

Overall, I would not recommend it.
