I’m going to start by saying you can’t judge a book by its cover. That is also true for most books in the first two chapters. I noticed immediately this wasn’t the type of book the two authors Christina Lauren usually write. I’ve read most of their work and this is by far the most different I’ve read of theirs.
I wasn’t immediately hooked but then again it’s only the first couple of chapters. I am curious how the rest of the story will go and then I will be able to write an updated review. Holland and Calvin didn’t have a connection that drew me into the story. Hopefully the story builds up to where I’d wish to continue reading.
So far the story only has three stars for me but that may be because I didn’t feel a connection from the beginning with the two main characters- Holland and Calvin.
