I love a good romantic comedy and this definitely filled that need. While I felt like it yo-yoed between extremes a little fast at times it was generally a fun romantic comedy. I don’t love the concept of marriage to a strange as a transaction but it did work in this story. I also enjoyed that it was really about more than the romance it was about Holland figuring out who she was and what she wanted to do separately from her relationship which was refreshing. The backdrop of the Broadway scene was also fun and kind of interesting to see the behind the scenes of a star being born. I loved that the love interest, Calvin, was Irish and that Holland found his accent as adorable as I would and even broke down his adorable pronunciation. Details like that brought the characters and therefore their stories to life for me. This book had it all: I laughed, I cried, and really who could ask for more?
