Never read anything from duo-author-team Christina Lauren, but after reading Roomies I am glad that I did. This story of love against the odds was entertaining and humorous. I won this book from Bookish First in a Raffle (in return for my honest review of the story) and was pleasantly surprised that I did. I am in between books from my TBR right now and approaching two blog tours, but was able to squeeze in Roomies this week because it was a fun, light, and easy read. If you are looking for a slow burning Rom-Com this is the book for you and probably the duo-author-team for you too!

I liked Holland and Calvin and especially liked Calvin’s introduction to the story. It’s not often that you have a Scottish leading man in American lit, but I appreciated the uniqueness of who he is and his background. By the end of the book you see that Calvin may have saved Holland, but really she saved him too. The musician thing is a little cliché, but I think it was necessary to bring Holland under his “spell” (HaHa/JK). Must say I’m not a big Romance reader more of a Thriller/Mystery/Dystopian kind of guy, but I actually enjoyed this one! 😎
