Roomies is a sweet romance that takes place in the theater world of NYC. Holland is a recent MFA graduate trying to figure out what to do with her life. She was really relatable - sometimes awkward, but with a big heart. I loved her uncles Jeff and Robert, and her relationship with them. I also liked that she had an ear for music, and it was Calvin's talent that drew her to him.
Who doesn't love a fake-romance-that-turns-real plot? I liked that Holland thought carefully about how she felt and understand that their relationship wasn't set up for success, and took some time for herself. Calvin was a swoonworthy love interest, and I would have loved a little more depth for him, and more of both their families - but hey, this book already gave me so much so I'm not complaining.
