This is my first Christina Lauren book, and I liked it just fine. I did expect to like it more, but it was still a good three stars. Holland was quirky, and I really enjoyed that. She’s kind and loving and has a lot more going than she thinks. Calvin was a good mix of broody and sweet. He also had really adorable moments throughout the whole book. I like the whole fake date/fake marriage trope, and this was no different.
But the reason that this was only a three stars was that it just fell flat. The book didn't feel like it had any escalation towards the end, and it got a little repetitive. I was just bored in the middle =, and wished for something, anything more interesting to happen.
Overall, this was a cute read, but I don't think I'll ever re-read it.
