“According to family legend, I was born on the floor of taxi.”

From the very first sentence, Roomies sucks you in. You won’t be able to put this book down, let alone want to.

Christina Lauren has this way of making you laugh with her great and witty banter, while simultaneously making you feel ALL the feels with relatable and emotional topics.

This book has so many likable tropes as well.

Marriage of Convenience? Check
Meet Cute? Check
Damsel in Distress? Check
Fake Dating/Marriage? Check

What more could you want?

Our FMC, Holland, is portrayed as average in looks with straight brown hair and pretty features, but from the first meet cute with her crush ‘Jack’ whom is later revealed to be Calvin, we can infer that she’s anything but. Holland is ‘Lovely’ according to Calvin, or maybe he was referring to her name, either way readers will not be able to put this book down because the chemistry is there from the very beginning and only gets better.

I mean who doesn’t want a marriage of convenience to an Irish musician with beautiful green eyes that you’ve been crushing on for months??
