This book is like a warm hug, a perfect read for a chilly day. Holland and Calvin’s story made me cry so many times. Their romance felt so realistic, especially for a take on the friends-to-lovers trope, one of my all-time favorites. I especially loved Holland, maybe because she reminds me of myself? An aimless 25-year-old who can’t seem to finish what she’s writing? Check! Hopelessly pining for attractive men? CHECK. Someone who’s struggling to love herself, as is? *through tears* check!
I'd recommend this book to any post-college grad, who isn't sure what they're doing in life. I love how CLo delve so deep into their characters that they feel fully realized and human. Also, I'm a sucker for stories set in New York!
