This book, like all of Christina Lauren's books, is a rom com, so I was pretty sure I knew what I was signing up for and went in blind. I have to say I got the best surprise when I realized that amidst the mishaps, the marriage for visa trope, the steamy love-making and the colorful characters, the book was set on BROADWAY! In my heart of hearts I have a love so deep for broadway musicals and I loved that this book let my freak flag fly. There's always a hidden gem in Christina Lauren's books, and Roomies had several: an Irish love interest (with all the Irish slang, thank you), broadway, classical guitar, and of course a struggling author. As well as being a top notch story, there was just so much to identify with (or lust after) in this book!
