Roomies by author duo Christina Lauren was such a fun, light-hearted, and easy romance read that I finished in about a day. Holland feels like her life is in a bit of a rut; unsure of what to do with her career and currently harboring a secret crush on a subway performer, Calvin. Shortly after the two finally meet, they end up in a whirlwind marriage to help Calvin land his dream job since he’s in the country illegally after overstaying his student visa.
I was immediately sucked into this story. The writing was fantastic and allows the reader to really connect with Holland and root for her to find her way and get her happy ending.
