A fun contemporary romance
Like all of Christina Lauren's books, Roomies is another fun contemporary romance that is super readable and has just the right level of steam. It follows a woman named Holland who marries Calvin, an Irish fellow in need of a green card. The only problem? Holland is head-over-heels for Calvin.
While this isn't an original romance story by any means--a marriage of convenience becoming a marriage of love--it's still a super fun read that will be a hit with romance readers.
The New York setting was fun and added a touch of charm to the love story. I am a fan of the forced-proximity trope, so I definitely enjoyed this. I would definitely recommend Roomies to romance readers, especially those who've enjoyed Christina Lauren's novel sin the past, as well as fans of Tessa Bailey, Jen DeLuca, and Rosie Danan.
While it's not my favorite CL novel, it's certainly one that will bring plenty of joy to romance readers!
