Oh wow, this book has everything I love, romance, family drama (not too much but enough to make me excited), and also COMEDY! This book seriously made me laugh so much.
Annie, is successful, had amazing parents and everything going for her, until she got heartbroken a few weeks before her wedding, her Ex is a douche bag. She leaves town and moves somewhere else to start fresh. But when she meets Emmitt the way she met him? She was going to go on an amazing ride that even I was super excited for.
Emmitt is a world photographer, he is always away for assignments, and he’s just hella dreamy, and a hot mess when it comes to love. I wont give too much away since I’m the queen of giving it all away, like always, but lets just say when he comes back from an assignment and tries to rekindle his relationship with his teen daughter, who had Levi and Gray as other father figures, he has his a lot of making up to do.
The men are all friends, and they are all connected, and their dynamic is something I ADORE, the way they come together? For his daughter and in general? It was too sweet and funny. And where does Annie come into the picture? Well let me just say this, Annie is the new doctor in Gray’s private practice, and he helped set up her room and board, while working with him, and the home he rented out to her was Emmitt’s home. So she was very shocked when he came back and wanted to claim back his home.
But it wasn’t too easy, they both get entangled into something that they both might not be fully ready for, but towards the end were willing to work on it together, and it was just so darn sweet, books like this I have very few words to say and I tend to jump around because I get all excited and the story is something you will like to revisit again and again.
I took a little longer to read this book because I didn’t want it to end just yet, and when it did I was really sad!!!! I cant wait to read book 2 and see where they are now in their relationship. There are a lot of things going on with each character and this book makes me want to read more and more.
