This book was SO fun. The romance was beyond entertaining. I loved Annie and Emmit. It dealt with a lot more than just a good girl and player falling in love. It handled race-and racism in the workplace—family dynamics, adoption, coping with injuries, and so much so thought more. I thought it did a great job of being cute without being cliche. Cute may be the wrong word because there were a lot of serious topics brought up. I also loved how strong of a woman Annie was and while emmit was a typical player at first, he didn’t over rule and take over. The secondary characters were also great. I’m not typical a romance reader, so this was out of my norm, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would read the next in the series!
