Fast and funny
Fast and funny dialogue. Characters seemed kind of cliche to me, but the story is fun and keeps moving. The heroine is relatable and I always like non white protagonists, but from the beginning this romance was utterly, totally predictable. The writer is correct about one thing though, Connecticut is miserably in-diverse, with the exception of the larger cities. Can a dress really be worth four - or five million dollars? Even for an heirloom that sounds pretty high. I would probably recommend this romance novel but not with a ton of enthusiasm. Mildly diverting, no big surprises or depth, good for a weekend read. I wouldn’t buy it - only borrow it from the local library. But it’s not bad, all in all.
