I was curious about this book when I saw the description say that the character grew up as the "lone Asian in a community of WASPs." I'm interested in seeing how the book will explore this. Unfortunately, I didn't love the excerpt, as I found Annie's ex-fiance's behavior so frustrating, and Emmitt's behavior seemed immature. The cover is cute though!
