The cover art is cute, but does nothing to convey the story. Romance fiction is not usually on my to-read list, so the plot and characterization has to be interesting enough to grab my attention. All I really gained from the first few pages are that Annie and Emmitt are train wrecks and that the witty banter may be all that saves this book. I might check this one out at the library eventually, especially if I need a beach read.
