I really like the cover for this selection and the great juxtaposition of our expectations of Rome, Italy, with Rome, Rhode Island. The story follows a work-obsessed woman named Anh (called Annie by most people) who is recovering from being left just short of the altar. We also meet Emmitt, a journalist just back from an oversees assignment that ended with an explosion that left him in the hospital. The two have clear chemistry from their first meet-cute. While the story is a little too fantastical for my taste (when a strange man shows up where you're staying and refuses to leave, please hit him over the head with something heavy and call the police, don't chat him up and reveal information about your personal life), it's a solid romance that will appeal to those who are willing to suspend a healthy amount of disbelief. I also think Emmitt's backstory is going to enamor a lot of readers, and that part of the First Look represented the strongest writing, in my opinion.
