I think with the rise of superhero movies alot of people forget that comics for a long time were on the forefront of media and was the only way you could embark on adventures with these heroes. With that said, I will admit that I don't collect comics and lean more to movies and television of these heroes.
However, this book is excellent. First off the pages just pop. I love all the illustrations and seeing how the comics and looks of the superheroes changed overtime. It also provides great backstories for each hero, especially some that you may be unfamiliar with.
Lastly this book is great for audiences of all ages and genders. Yes, I see hard-core fans loving this book, but people who just follow the movies or TV shows are are looking into getting into comics will love this too.
