It made me interested...
I will fully admit that I picked this book up as a way to try and understand my husband's fascination with comic books.
I didn't understand the hype or obsession or that they were considered art, I can't believe now narrow minded I had been and this. Ook helped me see that.
Comic books are so much more than I had thought they are multiple layers of art that multiple artists contribute to and I see that now.
There are authors, illustrators, designers, colorists, it goes on and on and for a few that work pays off in the characters becoming a household name or even a multi billion dollar franchise.
When I went into this book the only comic book name I knew was Stan Lee (thanks big bang theory) but now I know and appreciate so many more. I can honestly say I now have a favorite character and a favorite artist.
I really believe there's something out there for everyone and I'm so happy I decided to read this and open my eyes. I might just have a few prints by comic book artists on my walls now.
