I was lucky enough to receive an advance readers copy of this fun middle grade fantasy.
I loved how much this book reminded me of the joy of reading Percy Jackson for the first time. It also really captured the magic of what made the Percy Jackson series so entertaining and engaging for readers of all ages. However, what really made me excited about this book was that it explored and subsequently brought to life Jewish mythology which is under-represented in mainstream children's books. So, I was really happy to see this book being released.
The characters were fun and each one brought another element to the story. The relationship between Ash and Zach was heartwarming and funny. I am very pleased to say that this is an excellent addition to the recent addition of middle grade books bringing various mythologies to life for young readers.
