Ring of Solomon seems like a fun story for middle grade readers, especially the boys. The story of a magic ring that lets you talk to and understand animals as well as bringing a Demon King into your bedroom sounds like it'd be a fun adventure for middle schoolers. It does read young so I can't really see it being for beyond preteen.
