The first impression I had of this book was that it had a completely original story. First of all it had many aspects depicting Judaism. The ring itself has the Star of David on it and then the main characters mother is obsessed with Jewish things. I really liked that the ring was supposedly found in a fish. Seems like a very intriguing tale!
