My very first impression was that the author was trying to combine a bunch of different stereotypes (not the right word) into a book to make it appeal to a larger crowd but then I read the First Look and it was actually entertaining. A different take on a fantasy book. Despite being for a younger crowd, I think I would enjoy reading this one.
