I was immediately drawn to this book because of the current events that are going on with Israel and Palestine.
This is a historical fiction novel starting in the 1940’s ser in Palestine. This is a love story but it also contained some important social issues such as women's equality and viewing others as equals instead of judging them based on religious views.
It always interests me when people from different worlds come together. I enjoyed learning about Rasheed and his twin from Palestine and Natalie from Israel, who both come from different backgrounds but came together to fall deeply in love.
Wagih Abu-Rish has wrote an excellent novel that I believe will be very well received with readers when it is published.
