I was quite intrigued as we travel to 1940’s Palestine when tensions were high between the Jews and Arabs. We follow twins Rasheed and Rasheeda Dinar‘s childhood to working at their parents’ inn.

Rasheed falls in love with Natalia, but their differing religious beliefs made it difficult and they go their separate ways. Due to tension in Palestine, the twins leave for a erupt, Lebanon. Years later Natalia returns, do they get a second chance?

In between the years, the author introduced new characters new plot, it was tough to follow. I was lost at times and made uncomfortable with talk about sex and religion.

Not sure if it was needed in this story also not sure about the genre and sub genre here. Also, the ending was a let down. I was close to DNF, but powered through.

Thank you to the author and publisher for a copy. This is my honest review.
