Writing Style Didn't Suit me

Unfortunately the writing style here just didn't suit me. The First Look felt very dry and was written more in the style of a newspaper article or textbook than a novel. Because of this I lost interest in the story. I also think it's confusing that the names of the two main characters are so similar.
