I like a good historical fiction novel but reading both the synopsis and the First Impression, I am just not a fan of this book. It was interesting the way the author laid out the characters before the book opened up. I felt like it added to understanding the mindset of the characters are far as traditions and values go with Middle Eastern cultures. The book flows nicely and is written well. I just found it hard to get into the book. Unfortunately I struggled to read through the entire First Impression.
