I don't know quite what I expected but this book just wasn't it.
I wanted something deep and profound but I feel like this book was much too shallow for that.
I didn't really connect with the characters. They seemed too on the surface. Especially the modern woman. I felt like chapters were just thrown in. I found myself skimming those chapters.
Overall I didn't love this book but I also didn't hate it. It was just okay. Nothing special but I so wish it had been.
