I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Remembrance is historical fiction novel with hints of fantasy. It follows three women, Abigail, Margot, and Gaelle, whose stories take place in different time periods, but are all connected.

At first, I felt like there was a little bit of an information dump, as all three women, their backgrounds, and almost all of the supporting characters are introduced at the very beginning. To be honest, I almost had to force myself to continue just because I had lost interest after becoming confused with the many different characters. Additionally, even after you learn about all of them, because there are so many, I feel like you can't really get to know them and become invested in them.

However, I'm really glad I stuck with it! Rita Woods managed to combine all of the women's stories seamlessly. I don't want to reveal too much of the plot, but it is powerful and beautiful story.

If you like fantasy and/or historical fiction, this book does quite a good job at combining the two, and I would definitely recommend it!
