I was looking forward to a book with varying perspectives which is what I got. I enjoyed each of them, but was lost drawn to Winter.
When this story was going it was interesting, exiting, and enjoyable. However- I had a hard time with a start and stop type pacing. Every time I got invested gears would shift, and another, less intriguing idea would take its place. As much as I enjoyed multiple characters I think there too many to fully explore. I felt some things were left out underdeveloped as a result. It was a new genre to me- I wasn’t expecting so much of a mystical element, but liked the exploration of how so much power can come only when pushed to s braking point. It was a slow read for me, but I’m glad I finished it.
