I had read another of Candice Fox's books and was anxious for this one. I read Crimson Lake and liked it. Redemption Point I won on Bookish First and I had to go take it off my library list since I had already ordered it there. I liked it. It's an ongoing story so the characters are familiar and well fleshed out.
The plot is a good example of how a good story works, you don't have to have read Crimson Lake first to get the gist of the story. I understood the motive of each character and was able to get drawn into the drama of the story easily. Crime stories are my favorite, this was a little different because of the complexity of the plot but I did like it. I think she is evolving as a writer and each book is getting better.
