This was a good suspenseful thriller that had some good twists in it. I got a chance to read Crimson Lake which helped to reconnect me with some of the characters which I enjoyed. The scenery was really great especially with the swamp lands and the crocodiles, it made me feel like I was in the book itself. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed Ted and Amandas partnership. There was a lot of dimension and intrigue when it came to the characters and their actions. Overall, I enjoyed this second book in the series and I am interested if the series continues on. This author has a great writing style that keeps the pages turning and doesn't make the reader bored or the story feel predictable.
