I love this series by Candice Fox, who also has written books with James Patterson. Ted, a former policeman, was wrongly accused of kidnapping and raping a young girl. The first book, Crimson Lake, doesn't solve the mystery of who really did it, so this book follows up. Everything in Ted's life has been ruined by being falsely accused. He lost his wife, his house, his job, his friends....everything. He moves to Crimson Lake where he works with a private detective, Amanda, who has her own story. There is a concurrent story line of a murder that they are trying to solve in Crimson Lake. A young man is killed in a bar "robbery", and the mystery surrounding this story is really good. I think the author does a great job talking about wrongful incarceration without sounding preachy.
