It had been a while since I read the first book in this series, so at first, I was a bit lost trying to track the story. However, once I started to pick up and remember bits, I was sucked in. The story felt a bit like an episode of 24. Not just that the main character was a bit of a renegade, but it was almost impressive the amount of intense situations he could find himself in.
He was a former cop who found himself being punished for a crime he didn't commit. This made him extremely motivated to find the actual perpetrator, with both support and pressure from the public in this highly publicized case.
There are tons of twists and turns in this story to keep you guessing. I would suggest reading the books closer together, but a very interesting read!
