Redemption Point begins with a background story about Ted, who was accused of being a pedophile and harming a young girl, Claire. However, Ted is innocent. Yet, he has been stripped of everything - his marriage, his daughter, his job. Now, he works as a Private Investigator, and is still trying to recover his lost reputation. He, and his partner, Amanda, are brought into a new case - of 2 young people murdered.
This book starts off with excitement - and a sick story of pedophilia - but it evolves into so much more. It is about a man trying to recover from someone stealing his reputation, a man trying to uncover the truth, and a man struggling to do good. I hope the book lives up to its title of Redemption Point, and that Ted is able to redeem himself and his life that he knew.
I am looking forward to reading how this story unfolds, and how Ted and Amanda work together to gain the trust of Ted's former colleagues and solve the murders, while simultaneously clearing Ted's name.
Candice Fox is a great writer - I have read several of the books she has co-authored with James Patterson, and I am excited to read her stand-alone novels!
