I read the excerpt of Redemption Point expecting not to like it, but surprisingly, I did. This is clearly a dark story, not generally what I normally read, but it was well-written and engaging. According to the narrator, he was falsely accused and arrested for a teen kidnapping and rape, released due to insufficient evidence, but convicted by public opinion. He lost his career, his wife, and his daughter. He now is a loner, getting through each day as quietly and uneventful as possible. He privately continues to try to solve the abduction and rape of the child in order to clear his name. The main character joins in the investigation of two murdered bartenders. I am not sure how these two storylines come together, but I am certain there is some connection.
