Needs More Character Development

I purchased Reborn after reading Part 1 when it first released. I really liked the story even though I was really annoyed with Isabel, one of the main characters. She comes off as immature and allowed herself to be hung up on one guy for 6 years! However, the action was pretty good and while it started off slow, it kept me interested. I continued with part 2 and 3 through Reborn and was hoping Isabel will grow and understand but she keeps screwing up everything with her rash decisions. She gets angry at him for everything and knows he is not the same man she remembers but still gives herself up to him whenever she has the chance. The mystery of who Tristan is is what kept me reading but in the end, there was no development in the characters besides both being whiny and their love doesn’t seem like love to me, more like an infatuation with him needing her to regain his memories and her holding onto the past with a dream that she will have Tristan back again. Overall, okay story. I love Meredith’s books so I am going to give the next volume a chance and hoping we get more action and more character development. I really want to love this story.
