Tristan Red is a hired killer, with no memory of himself or his past. As he is about to dispatch his latest victim, Isabel Foster, she utters the one thing that stops Tristan in his tracks - his name. Now Tristan has a decision to make, to either save the girl from his past and find out who he truly is, or do the job that he has been hired to perform. Can Tristan get answers to his past and the reason for the price on Isabel's head?

If readers can look past the gaping holes in the plot, The Red Ledger Reborn is a good beach read for those who like fast paced romantic suspense. Both Tristan and Isabel have aspects of their past for which neither has any knowledge. The problem is that the author only makes vague overtures and never really delves deep enough. The reader is never given a sufficient reason for Tristan's abrupt change in job description or his missing time. Isabel's background is glossed over, despite it being a major point in the plot. The biggest question that was never answered is why Tristan was chosen for the job in the first place? You would think his employer would have fully vetted his background and would have known his connection to the target. I did think that the book flowed well and the suspense was kept at a heightened pace throughout. Readers who like romantic suspense may find The Red Ledger Reborn to their liking.
