Assassin for hire meets Harlequin Romance

While I enjoyed Reborn, The Red Ledger, I thought it lacked depth. It would be a great beach read! Lots of adventure all over the world and steamy sex scenes. Isabel was a quandary to me- at times strong and smart. And at other times, quite naive. But there may not have been a story if she wasn’t a little gullible and love struck. Tristan is definitely a mans man. Reading about his life and the events that shaped him into tthe person he is now was very interesting. I would probably enjoy the book more if there had been even more details about his past. Overall, a very fast read that kept me entertained. I just wish I had felt more invested in what happened to Isabel and Tristan. The potential is there!
