The cover and description of the book have caught my eye since it first was announced. It definitely was interesting, but not quite as good as I thought. Queenie never caught my attention, and I only slightly rooted for her. Further on in the book I did start to feel more for her once her backstory was fleshed out further. I feel that I would have rooted from her from the start if that was explained earlier on all that she had gone through. Maybe if I lived in London, or knew more about the Jamaican lifestyle. Whish I do want to read more about since I didn't know London had a population of them! I did like her connections with her friends, and how they helped her get through her depression!
