This book was not my cup of tea. I enjoyed it in the beginning learning about the main character Queenie who has a very strong, opinionated personality, and getting to know her crazy friends and family. I started to drift off when in the midst of a bad break up Queenie decides to sleep with basically any guy she comes across. It continues for most of the book, sleeping around and being used and abused by men, and I lost all interest at that point. The resolution at the end didn’t negate the fact that she still took part in those behaviors. It’s also extremely annoying that she spends half the book preaching and then can’t even stand up for herself and acts in anti feminist ways. Annoying. I just wanted to yell at her to stand up and respect herself. Not a fan.
